CMA CGM announces Transpacific and Transatlantic US export cargo rate increases
In a continued effort to provide its customers with the same reliable and efficient services they are accustomed to, CMA CGM Group has decided to restore freight rates in the Transpacific and Transatlantic trades to a more sustainable level.
New rate increases will apply to all US export cargo moving to Asia and to Europe, effective September 1st, 2009.
The increase quantum will be as follows:
Transpacific increases:
-$ 150 per TEU and $ 300 per FEU for cargo ex US Houston and Mobile Terminals
-$ 25 per TEU and $ 50 per FEU for cargo ex US east and west coast ports
-$ 50 per TEU and $ 100 per FEU for cargo ex US IPI origins
Transatlantic increases (North Europe and West Med)
-$ 240 per TEU and $ 300 per FEU for CY/CY and IPI cargo
